About Mogilev Roots

Mogilev Roots is an independent, non-commercial site about people whose families came from the Mogilev region of Belarus. It is run by a writer born in the region who now lives in exile.

The stories draw on research published by Mogilev.media, an independent regional outlet, and on biographies, archives and encyclopedias. Every source is linked in the text.

If someone in your family came from the Mogilev region, we would like to hear about them. Write to hello@mogilevroots.com. We publish historical biographies freely; stories about living people appear only with their consent, and we can leave out names and details on request.
